- Our Story
I grew up in Marrakesh, Morocco and comes from a family of craftspeople where rug-making and working with leather is part of my family tradition. At the age of twelve I learned the trade of making bags and working with leather as I was helping my father repairing vintage leather bags, leather poufs, pillows and rugs and serving our customers all over the world from my father’s bazaar in the Marrakesh.
With a dream of venturing beyond my father’s shop, I came to the U.S. in April 2009 and enrolled at LaGuardia Community College. While studying, I was still connected to designing and making the leather bags as I had always done in Morocco.
One day at school, I noticed an entrepreneurship competition add for a $1,000, which was leaded
I started operating her business from my living studio in Queens .I have sold her handmade bags all over the world and rated five stars positive reviews. As the demand for the bags increased; I had to start looking for a larger space since my own apartment soon became too small to function as an office, production space, and home.
After moving into the incubator space at NYDesigns in June of 2014 I have the creative space I need to expand her production as well as a place to run my business in a more efficient way, which I already see reflected in revenues.
NO MACHINE AT ALL!! EVERYTHING MADE BY HAND
